135 people, still learning in public.
SEESALT’s alumni and volunteer consultants are students, early-career researchers and young professionals. They are spread across universities and institutions on four continents, and they take a SEESALT call the way they took a seminar last week — from inside the work. This page lists where they are. It does not list who they are.
How to read this page
Affiliations, not endorsements.
Each number is the count of consultants who are currently at, or recently graduated from, the institution named. The figures are self-reported by consultants and refreshed each autumn. One person can hold more than one affiliation — a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford who worked at the World Bank appears in both places — so the counts do not sum to 135.
None of the institutions on this page endorses SEESALT, and SEESALT is not a programme of any of them. They are where our people study and work. We list them because a reader deciding whether to work with us deserves to know what kind of people they will meet.
Where our consultants are
By institution.
Largest concentrations first within each group. Schools and departments are named where the consultant told us the department.
United States universities
United Kingdom and Europe universities
China and Hong Kong universities
Singapore universities
Africa universities
International institutions current or recent staff, consultants and advisory-group members
Private sector current roles
A dot means present but uncounted at the time of writing. Institutions where a consultant has asked not to be listed are omitted. About ten of the 135 are community partners and consultants at institutions we have not listed individually — the village schools, county programmes and regional universities where much of the actual work happens; the list above is where our people study, not a ranking of who matters.
The core team
SEESALT-IRIS.
The network is wide; the team that runs it day to day is small. SEESALT-IRIS is that core: the consultants who hold the programmes together between cohorts, staff the camps, review the reports and answer the calls. Most have been with SEESALT since Changshu or Macalester; all are still students or early-career researchers. About IRIS and Sunward
What the network is for
- Terra: matching a mentor to an entrepreneur in the mentor’s own field and language
- Ember: finding the practitioner who has actually done the thing the seminar is about
- Adaptation Lab: recruiting co-authors from inside the pool before advertising outside it
- Sunward: putting a student who was in a seminar room last week in front of a fourteen-year-old
Join the network — you do not need to be at any of the institutions above.
