May we see, in a single mote of dust, worlds beyond imagining.
May a light without stain rise from the ocean of voices.
May the bright stars shine on you and on me.
May we gather the rainbow of the moving, surging stars,
and carry it to heal the wounded nations of the earth.

Tujaliwe kuona, ndani ya chembe moja ya vumbi, malimwengu yasiyofikirika.
Nuru isiyo na doa na ichomoze kutoka katika bahari ya sauti.
Nyota angavu na zituangazie, wewe na mimi.
Tujaliwe kukusanya upinde wa mvua wa nyota zinazosonga na kufurika,

Inspired by the Macalester College Peace Prayer, which students read at the close of the college’s gatherings, each in the language of home. Ours is meant to be read the same way, at the close of our seminars: in Chinese, in English, in Kiswahili, and in any language a member brings.
